The Gondwana Project
These multi-media works are part of an ongoing series incorporating highly detailed drawings using a unique combination of pastel, Conte pencils and charcoal over photographic prints. Through these works I want to immerse you into the magic and beauty of the Gondwana World Heritage sub-tropical rainforests of NSW and QLD which are at risk from climate change, fires and human activity and encourage you to take a personal journey and walk into the wilderness with me.
The Gondwana rainforests contain remnants of the original super continent which 600 million years ago included the joined land masses of India, Africa, South America, Arabia and Antartica. As such, the temperate rainforests of Gondwana are critical to the ecological history
of Australia and the world.
